David Blaine: Thinking Up, and Overthinking, Stunts reports on David Blaine’s failed attempt to hold his breath for 8 minutes and 58 seconds after spending a week in a saltwater tank. Alas, poor Dave only held his breath for 7 minutes and 8 seconds! Holy hell — that’s a long time. Maybe, I’ll quit my job and work on holding my breath for money. If only there was a minor league . . . a way to work up to big time breath holding.
