As I mentioned in a previous post, this week, Lou Dorfsman passed away. He was extraordinary, and he will truly be missed.

When Lou retired, he was the vice president and creative director for advertising and design at CBS, Inc. In many ways, Lou is responsible for elevating the design conversation to the executive suite. He gave designers a spot at the table, a chance to show people how powerful and wonderful design can be.

Yet, he was and will continue to be so much more. He was a wonderful creative, who shepherded an unparalleled body of work during his time at CBS.

With his passing, we have an opportunity to pay homage to his life and work. Working with The Center for Design Study, Armchair Media designed and launched a Tumblr web site, http://loudorfsman.tumblr.com/, where people can post thoughts, moments and stories about Lou and his legacy.

Today, we have an opportunity. We can honor Lou’s legacy by making his passing a celebration of his extraordinary life. All I ask . . . Spread the word and take a moment to share your thoughts and feelings.
