A new study by BBDO looks at the daily rituals that drive consumer habits. In short, there are five basic rituals to which most of the world adheres.

  1. Preparing for Battle
  2. Feasting
  3. Sexing Up
  4. Returning to Camp
  5. Protecting Yourself for the Future

Don't be surprised if advertisers target these basic rituals in the future. They are out of good ideas, and with an evergreen trough of media from which to drink, the consumer attention span has less time for anything that seems like advertising.
